November 30th Manziana

Greetings from Manziana, and happy Advent!  Are you aware that you can do wonders for your Advent prayer journey by simply clicking on the following:    http://www.maristmusic.org.au/this-sunday/   AND IT'S ALL ENTIRELY FREE!

I hope you and yours are all well. It's Sunday morning here after mass.  At 11 o'clock we have an optional gathering to talk and share about Ministry Options in 3rd Age. I hope punting is on the list!  It's Numero Uno at 106 Holden St. (The email from Michael Sexton, whose birthday it is today, came from 'Men's Shed,' so check our same in the North Fitzroy area please. On the other hand, having become so sensitized to my feminine side as a result of these weeks here at Manziana, I might find a crochet group somewhere.

Yesterday (after getting back from Assisi the day before), I went to Rome with Chris Poppelwell, to have a look at the Colosseum, Forum, OId Rome etc and a couple more churches, including Sts Cosmas and Damian both of whom get a mention in the Roman Canon. I was tired by the time I got home. Chris stayed in Rome and attended the launch of the Year of Consecrated Life which was held at St Mary Major's church with a special service last night. He then was going to stay overnight at the Motherhouse, but I'd had enough by about 3.30, and it took another 90 min to get home.

Well, this is just a note to wish you Happy Advent. I also emailed Sr Herminia in Jerusalem this morning to check on safety for the Holy Land stay. Best wishes Hi to Chris and Jenny and of course, those punters up the road!
