I hope you enjoy these simple chants for each of the Sundays of Lent (Yr C). Please excuse the ageing vocalist (myself!) but at least I hope you will find the lyrics clear, and as always the text is closely related to the Gospel story. Try this beautiful sung prayer from the pen of an old friend, Cecilia Milne of Yarrawonga. You'll notice two audio downloads, one with vocals and the other, accompaniment only. This simple song would make a beautiful prayer for reflection time after Holy Communion, or indeed at any time of quiet, reflective prayer. You'll notice there is no copyright at the bottom of the music. This is Cecilia's gift in prayer ....... for and with you all. You'll also notice on p. 2 of the sheet music, some suggested alternative lyrics for Marist groups or feasts of Our Lady.

Recently Br Michael has presented workshops at conferences in Ballarat and Melbourne. Both events were inspirational because of the people who gathered together to pray and to share.

At the Ballarat conference, 'Enhancing the Liturgy through Music and Song', participants enjoyed singing together and sharing ideas to more effectively involve their parish communities in worship.

At the Melbourne Religious Education Conference, Br Michael presented a workshop on Music-Song-Prayer to an enthusiastic group of teachers.

Mass of St Margaret - Workshop

Dear Friends,

Welcome to a short workshop on a new mass, The Mass of St Margaret, named after my dear Mum, Margaret Teresa Herry who soldiers on at the age of 97 with great courage and resilience, and still finds simple things to enjoy each day.

This is a simple, unison mass, most suited to regular, Sunday congregational singing, rather than use as a 'special occasion' mass, but I'm sure it will be a setting that you will enjoy.
